Vanessa, Vendela, and I got dropped off just inside the city wall, and made our way through some butiker (shops) so they could point out all the Swedish brands to me until lunch time.
For lunch they treated me at Crêperie & LOGI - a tiny French inspired joint. The tables were all made with Singer sewing machine bases and the decor was charming. I had a mangokyckling crepe, and rather enjoyed the experience.

Then it was time to head home for a short time and get ready for my first full practice. It was overcast and misty, but it was incredible. It was so fun to play with a team again after such a long time off.
We did a nice dribbling and passing warm-up, moved through a passing and shooting drill, and then played two 15 min 7v7 games. My team won 6-2 (woohoo!).
Then it was time for a quick discussion of the game this Saturday on the main land. We will fly from Visby to Stockholm-Bromma Flygplats (airport) at 8:45, take a bus to the field, warm-up, play at 12:00, cool-down, shower, bus back to Bromma, fly to Visby and be home by 17:30. Awesome.
We're playing Telge United FF. They are currently in danger of being moved down a league, so it will be a fight. I'll be starting at left back, and I'm excited to see how the game will go.
Vanessa and I just got back from town (I'm so tired) and eating dinner with some of her friends at a swanky American-style joint called Kitchen & Table Visby. It was fun to meet them and I'm excited to see them all again.
Vanessa and I celebrated my first practice and my making the starting line-up, so it was definitely a splurge night... But a delicious steak after practice is something to cherish. It was served with tomater (tomatoes), rödlök (red onions), french fries, and green salsa. YUM.
