Today is the day!

I'm sitting in CHA and wondering if someone has ever successfully made an IED out of jelly.

Some sweet, foreign lady had her jellies taken away at security because they were 6oz (GASP) a piece.  I've never heard of a jam bomb.

I'm through security (they didn't take anything from me this time), and waiting to board to O'Hare.  Then I'll have an overnight flight to ARN and later a very short hop over to the island where I'll meet my host family at the airport.  That'll be Sunday. Practice starts on Monday.  I hope I overcome jet-lag quickly :)

I'm a little shaky.  More nervous than I thought I would be.  I think it's because I know that the inevitable home-sickness is going to set in soon.  But there is always the return trip.

There is a guy across from me having a blue-tooth phone conversation. Loudly.  I made eye contact with him awkwardly right after he told the gentleman on the other end of the line to "kiss (his) ass."  I don't think the conversation is going well.

Boarding time.
